Do you sell doors without installation?

Yes, for ProVia. We're an Official ProVia dealer, so we can order ProVia entry, patio, and storm doors for your own builder or contractor to install. Marvin doors come with our installation.

Should I get a fiberglass or steel entry door?

Fiberglass won't rust or rot and can have a woodgrain finish, so it's the long-term pick for most homes. Steel is strong, secure, and usually costs less. We'll bring samples of both and help you choose.

How much does a new entry door cost in Waltham, MA?

There's no one price, because every door and house is different. The final number depends on the type of door, fiberglass or steel, the product line, single or double, sidelights or a transom, glass and hardware, color, and anything we find once the old door is out. That's why we come to your home, measure, and quote it in writing. We also offer 18 months 0% financing.

Can you add sidelights or a transom, or install a double door?

Yes. We install single doors, double doors, and doors with sidelights or a transom. If the opening needs to get wider or taller, we'll quote the framing work before we start.

Can you turn a window into a patio door?

Yes. We do conversions. We cut the new opening, size the header with a structural calculation, and give the inspector the paperwork they need.

Do you install storm and screen doors?

Yes. A storm door protects your entry door from the weather, and a screen lets a breeze in when you want one. ProVia makes five lines of aluminum storm doors, from simple full-view styles to DuraGuard, which has a heavy-duty stainless steel screen to keep kids and pets in.

Is door replacement safe in a house with lead paint?

Yes, when it's done by a certified firm. Top Sash is a Massachusetts Lead-Safe Renovation Contractor (LR4694) and an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm. We contain the work area, use HEPA vacuums, and clean and verify before we leave. This matters for any home built before 1978.

We recently moved into an old home and placed an order with Vassiliy at Top Sash to replace 29 windows. We wanted to have the windows installed asap, and Vassiliy did everything he could to make that happen. Our new windows are now in and they make a huge difference. Our house is well insulated and quiet. The slight tint in the panes makes it cooler in the summer. We are very pleased with the work Top Sash did for us.

VIVA Windows has done a great job from the very start. The representative came over to our place exactly at the time he promised. Did the measurements, gave us the options to choose from, etc. We ordered a new patio door, we also received a quote without any unnecessary gimmics, as well as given an approximate date of installation. It was a little later than we thought we'll get it but we understood it was dependent on the company making it. The rep, Vassiliy, was on top of it and kept us aware of what was going on. And then the door has come and we just loved it. The guys who were taking off the old patio door and installing the new one were very professional, quick and very thorough. They brought some plastic covers and put them over the furniture. They even gave us a great suggestion how to make it beautiful from the outside and did some extra work.
